2019 Smart China Expo opened ceremoniously in Chongqing International Expo Center yesterday. As representative of southwest intelligent traffic corporations, Chongqing Ulit Science & Technology Co., Ltd appeared in the expo with a new product.         

Ulit general manager Dai Gao launched GJK-10 road traffic signal controller ceremoniously, attracting attention of a large number of guests, industry experts and journalists.      

In the exhibition Ulit chairman Wang Ran accepted joint interview of several media including Chongqing Daily, Chongqing Morning News, Chongqing Commercial Daily, City Popular Newspaper, Hualong Website, Nanan Daily, Chongqing TV and 7its Website. It is known that GJK-10 controller is a new product created by Ulit aiming at all kinds of actual signal control scenarios difficulties focusing on customers’ needs and on the basis of data driving. The controller possesses the capabilities of complete information perception access and logical operation reasoning and the function of full IoT( Internet of Things) and intelligent operation and maintenance.

Capability of Complete Information Perception Access
There are many factors impacting the efficiency of traffic signal control. Simply laying detectors on the roads can acquire data of whether there are vehicles on the roads. But the data is inadequate. In view of this Ulit has firstly proposed the concept of lowest cost structuralization traffic data reviving actual traffic scenarios based on data adequacy. The data can be traffic flow, occupancy, queuing length, all kinds of events like unblocking, slow moving and congestion, time and relationship description between every data. GJK-10 signal controller can describe and process the data in the method of virtual detectors, avoiding missing key control information and the phenomenon of blind man touching an elephant. The data of virtual detectors can be from other intersections and nearby areas so as to finish area control. In the case of security authorization, the controller can realize accurate system control of green light time by seconds through controlling the virtual detectors by remote network. It breaks the optimization path between the cloud and the end.  There will be a promising future!     

Capability of Logical Operation Reasoning
How to make a good use of the huge data is also a core capability of the controller. GJK-10 possesses strong logical operation capability. It can simulate on-site artificial commanding logic and control logic of analysis and optimization after the event, releasing the traffic flow of every direction orderly according to the demands. How can a machine do this flexibly and independently? Because GJK-10 has been upgraded to self-optimizing control technology based on flow and window control. These two technologies support each other, realizing fine control.  GJK-10 controller can be connected with remote control system to realize mixed control of broader areas and multiple models, avoiding short-term situation of partial optimization but not integral optimization. 

Function of Full IoT( Internet of Things) and Intelligent Operation and Maintenance

Ulit has the complete product chain of traffic signal control. Through technology cooperation with Huawei, the controller can transmit data directly on the power lines of all kinds of outer equipments. This realizes full connection between the controller with lamps, countdown timers, pedestrian crossing buttons, VMS and all kinds of traffic detectors. While intersection transformation, cost of ditching, pipe laying and communication line deploying can be saved. Full connection of equipments can not only transmit control data, but also realize intelligent outfield operation and maintenance. For example, when detecting a string of LEDs in a lamp panel or a group of LEDs in a countdown timer are damaged the controller will automatically report the damage situation to the signal control background system at first time. According to the damage degree, the system will push the visual information to related personnel including the APP of the maintenance personnel, replacing traditional huge-crowd strategy and passive waiting maintenance method.The intelligent IOT(Internet of Things) technology and intelligent operation and maintenance technology are shown on Shanghai Full Connection Conference, Hangzhou Future Conference, and Hefei CTSE2019 Exhibition for several times cooperating with Huawei. Not only the controller possesses IOT function in the system, but also it can connect with equipments in the vehicles at the intersections and push the information of the intersections to the vehicles. Through cooperating with China Automotive Engineering Research Institute Co., Ltd and Chongqing Vehicle Testing Institute, we have constructed more than 30 signal control intersections of vehicle networking in Chongqing, assisting research and industrialization of driverless vehicles. At present GJK-10 signal controllers have been applied for abundant scenarios in urban areas and suburbs of Chongqing ,Sichuan Province and Guizhou Province.It is predicted there will be more than 100 intersections applying the technology until the end of the year. Besides the advantages of above three edge side technologies firstly launched in China, GJK-10 signal controller can also connect WINCELL® area self-adaptive coordination signal control system based on area hot spot scanning technology and internet traffic big data system to realize more methods of signal control optimization. Through cooperating with several internet companies Ulit uses real-time online optimization technology of internet traffic data to optimize and control. It possesses the advantages of broad area and low cost.
